Notes
'Invincibelle Sublime' smooth hydrangea (Hydrangea arborescens 'Invincibelle Sublime') is a shrub for borders, specimen planting, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Big, fluffy green mopheads bloom on new wood from early summer until frost. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit the flowers.
Pairs well with Sensitive fern, Gooseneck loosestrife, and Spanish bluebell.
