'Isamishisi' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Isamishisi') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Tree peonies have woody stems that stay above ground through winter. Cut the blooms for indoor vases.
