Notes

'Ivory Ruffles' peony (Paeonia 'Ivory Ruffles') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large ivory flowers are fully double and made of ruffled petals. The stems are strong and straight, and the glossy deep green leaves frame the blooms. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. John L. Fiala bred it, and Henry Landis introduced it in 1974.

Pairs well with Fire Island hosta, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Polish Spirit clematis.
