Notes

'James Wood' peony (Paeonia 'James Wood') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, cup-shaped ivory flowers open early in the season with dark silver veins that look like striped white silk. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Prof. Harald Fawkner bred it.

Pairs well with Fire Island hosta, Prairie dropseed, and Picture tulip.
