Notes
'Japanese Fairy' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Japanese Fairy') is a perennial for borders, cut flower gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Secor bred it in 1924. The large, rose-pink flowers have yellow centers and open in early summer. The plant is medium size and spreads, so give it room.
Pairs well with Great blue lobelia, Sedge, and Miss Kim lilac.
