Notes

'Jason' caryopteris (Caryopteris incana 'Jason') is a shrub for borders, containers, and xeriscape. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Amethyst blue flowers open in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn, and butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the fragrant blooms. It sits low on the menu for deer. The plant also tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Lemon thyme, Feather reed grass, and Green Velvet buxus.
