'Jiang Nan Zi Yun' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Jiang Nan Zi Yun') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Dark pink Japanese flowers open in early to late spring and have a noticeable fragrance. The upright plants reach about 35 inches tall and do not need support.
Pairs well with Purrsian Blue nepeta, Pink Impression tulip, and Miss Kim lilac.
