Notes
'Jin Tai Xi Zhao {Golden Sunset}' peony (Paeonia 'Jin Tai Xi Zhao {Golden Sunset}') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. The fragrant, semi-double flowers open orange red in spring and fade to light peach. Butterflies visit the blooms, which sit erect on strong stems above willow-like leaves.
Pairs well with Lenten rose, Lungwort, and Weigela.
