Notes
'John Slocock' Chinese dogwood (Cornus kousa 'John Slocock') is a tree for borders, specimen planting, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. It blooms in early to late spring and attracts bees and birds. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. It has an erect form and grows slowly, so give it time to fill its space.
Pairs well with Autumn fern, Queen of Night tulip, and Shasta daisy.
