Notes

'John Warren' clematis (Clematis 'John Warren') is a vine for containers, cottage gardens, specimens, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. The large flowers have white petals with carmine pink bands and edges around red stamens. It reaches 8 to 10 feet tall and blooms from spring to fall. Walter Pennell bred it in 1968.
