Notes

'Josephine' clematis (Clematis 'Josephine') is a vine for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and specimen use. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and average to moist soil of most types. Pink blooms shade to lilac and appear in spring, summer, and autumn, and bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds visit them. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. 'Josephine' Hill bred it.

Pairs well with Jackmanii clematis, New Dawn rose, and Paris coral bells.
