Notes

'Joyful Anointing' peony (Paeonia 'Joyful Anointing') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its double, light yellow blooms are fragrant and attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Stems stand upright at 26 to 28 inches and need no support.

Pairs well with Hosta, Eastern columbine, Quick Fire panicle hydrangea, and Western sword fern.
