Notes
'Julia Grant' peony (Paeonia 'Julia Grant') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The semi-double flowers are a clear pink and attract bees and butterflies. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Prof. Arthur Percy Saunders bred it in 1939.
Pairs well with First Frost hosta, Sedge, and Picture tulip.
