Notes
'June Athalie' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'June Athalie') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its flowers are pink, so they add soft color to a mixed border. You can also cut the blooms for a vase indoors. Dr. Frederick G. Brethour bred this cultivar.
Pairs well with Polish Spirit clematis, Carnaval De Nice tulip, and Western sword fern.
