Notes

'June Welcome' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'June Welcome') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The flowers are single, dark red, and have yellow stamens. They hold their color in sun without fading, but they are not fragrant. W. A. Dana bred it.

Pairs well with Western sword fern, Carnaval De Nice tulip, and Creeping juniper.
