Notes

Creeping juniper (Juniperus horizontalis) is a shrub for ground cover, rock gardens, and borders. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry to moist soil of most types. Long, trailing branches form a low mat of blue-green foliage. Deer tend to browse other plants first. Give it good drainage to help prevent juniper blight.

Pairs well with Blonde Ambition blue grama, Blazing star, and Pearly everlasting.
