Notes

'Jupiter' camellia (Camellia japonica 'Jupiter') is a shrub for borders, woodland gardens, and pollinator plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes part sun and average to wet soil. Bees and birds visit the flowers, which open in winter and spring. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. It grows slowly in a columnar shape, stays evergreen, and tolerates salt.

Pairs well with Japanese maple, Christmas fern, and Bobo hydrangea.
