Notes
'Kathryn Ann' peony (Paeonia 'Kathryn Ann') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Rich pink cupped blooms surround a light yellow cluster of stamens and attract butterflies and bees. Don Hollingsworth bred it in 2002. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.
Pairs well with Spiked speedwell, Guacamole hosta, Prairie dropseed, and Queen of Night tulip.
