Notes

'Kaw Valley' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Kaw Valley') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double flowers are dark red and hold their color. The blooms are large, but the stems are stiff and keep them upright. Myron D. Bigger bred it in 1944.

Pairs well with Rainbow's End hosta, Sedge, and Virginia rose.
