Notes

'KC Red' peony (Paeonia 'KC Red') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Ruffled, semi-double flowers open rose-pink or rose-red in early to late spring and attract butterflies. William J. Seidl bred it, and the upright plant grows to 4½ feet.

Pairs well with Cat mint, Lily, and Blue Arrow Rocky mountain juniper.
