'Kelway’s Crimson Banner' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Kelway’s Crimson Banner') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The flowers are full double and pure, dark red. It is one of the longest peonies in flower, blooming well into July.
Pairs well with Lady's mantle, Annabelle hydrangea, Sensitive fern, and Foxtail barley.
