Notes

'Kilian Donahue' clematis (Clematis 'Kilian Donahue') is a vine for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and specimen use. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. The fuchsia flowers have ruby-red stripes and light pink edges, and butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit them. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Mark Donahue bred it in 2004.

Pairs well with Peony, Bee balm, and Standing Ovation little bluestem.
