Notes
'King’s Cross' peony (Paeonia 'King’s Cross') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Early blooming semi-double flowers are raspberry-red, and the color fades to lighter pink only after seven days. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. The plants stand upright without support.
Pairs well with White Feather hosta, Standing Ovation little bluestem, Cheerfulness daffodil, and Polish Spirit clematis.
