Notes

'Kings Day' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Kings Day') is a perennial for borders, cutting gardens, and fragrant plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun. The large, semi-double blooms open in early to late spring and reach seven inches wide. Pink buds open to pale salmony-orange flowers, and the backs of the petals stay pink. Sturdy stems hold the many flowers upright.

Pairs well with Blazing star, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Red Riding Hood tulip.
