Notes

'Klondike' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Klondike') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Pure white cupped petals hold a large sphere of narrow, fringed yellow petaloids. The plant is tall and graceful with stiff stems, and it blooms in early summer. Alonzo B. Franklin bred it.

Pairs well with Francee hosta, Prairie Sun rudbeckia, and Ostrich fern.
