Notes

'Kuni-mori' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Kuni-mori') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large flowers are dark Tyrian pink and open in mid season. They are held well above the foliage, which makes them easy to cut. The plant is medium size and spreads, so give it room.

Pairs well with Nepeta, Prairie dropseed, and African Queen lily.
