Notes

'La Coquette' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'La Coquette') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Fragrant, full double blooms open rose-pink with a salmon-pink center and carmine-red flecks in mid to late spring and early summer. Guérin bred it in 1861.

Pairs well with Incrediball hydrangea, Grape hyacinth, Blue sage, and Switchgrass.
