Notes

'La Fraîcheur' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'La Fraîcheur') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, single flowers have one row of long, wavy, light rose-pink petals around bright yellow stamens. They are faintly fragrant, and the plant blooms freely on tall, upright stems with plenty of foliage. Auguste Dessert bred it.

Pairs well with Black Hero tulip, Sedge, and Indian Summer rudbeckia.
