Notes

'La Jolla' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'La Jolla') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It bears double white flowers in late spring. You can cut the blooms for bouquets once they open in your garden. Rosenfield bred it in 1951.

Pairs well with Indian Summer rudbeckia, Grape hyacinth, and Sedge.
