Notes

'La Rosière' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'La Rosière') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its semi-double white flowers have pointed petals around golden yellow stamens. The blooms open in huge clusters, and each one looks like a many-pointed star. Do not disbud it.

Pairs well with Japanese spirea, Royal fern, and Pussytoes.
