Notes

'La Tulipe' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'La Tulipe') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large double blooms are light pink with a cream center and crimson edges, and they age to cream. They open in mid spring and are fragrant. Jacques Calot bred it.

Pairs well with Cinnamon fern, Pussytoes, and Japanese spirea.
