Notes

'Laddie' peony (Paeonia 'Laddie') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It stays dwarf at 12 inches tall and bears single, fragrant, bright red blooms in early spring. Lyman D. Glasscock bred it. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Coralbells, Autumn Frost hosta, Little Beauty tulip, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
