Notes

'LaDonna' peony (Paeonia 'LaDonna') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, flat double flowers have two fluffy layers of pink petals around a collar of yellow staminodes. Strong stems hold the blooms up, and bees and butterflies visit them. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with Liberty hosta, Carnaval De Nice tulip, Polish Spirit clematis, and Paprika yarrow.
