Notes

'Lady in Waiting' peony (Paeonia 'Lady in Waiting') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. The fragrant blooms mix cream, lilac-pink, and salmon-pink with dark red flares, and they attract butterflies and bees. Derek Irvine bred it in 2001.

Pairs well with Earth Angel hosta, Standing Ovation little bluestem, Nodding onion, and Polish Spirit clematis.
