Notes

'Lady of the Lake' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Lady of the Lake') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Tall, upright stems carry double blush flowers in early summer. The blooms are fragrant, so they work well in a vase. Mr. and Mrs. John M. Lewis bred it.

Pairs well with Immortality iris, Miss Kim lilac, Western sword fern, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
