Notes

Lady tulip (Tulipa clusiana) is a bulb for borders, rock gardens, containers, and naturalized plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. The flowers are deep yellow, and the backs of the outer tepals are crimson, sometimes with a yellow edge. It blooms from early to late spring above gray-green leaves. The clumps stay about 8 inches tall, and the plant tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Mount Hood daffodil, Spanish bluebell, Blanket flower, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
