Notes

'Lady Williams' apple (Malus domestica 'Lady Williams') is a tree for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. The red flushed fruit has a balanced sweet and sharp flavor and is grown for fresh eating. It ripens late in the season and keeps for 3 months or more. Mr Williams bred it in 1935, and bees visit the spring blooms.

Pairs well with Kentucky coffeetree, Lingonberry, and Prairie dropseed.
