Notes

'Lafayette Escadrille' peony (Paeonia 'Lafayette Escadrille') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its dark red, single flowers are fragrant and sit just above the dense green leaves. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Young leaves start deep red and stay that way for some time.

Pairs well with First Frost hosta, Creeping phlox, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
