Notes

'Laura Ellen' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Laura Ellen') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It stays fairly short and upright, and its good stems hold up the large flowers. The rose-pink double blooms reach 8 inches across in mid spring. Ernest Flint Kelsey bred it.

Pairs well with Charles Joly lilac, Blonde Ambition blue grama, Carlton daffodil, and Sedge.
