Notes

'Lauren' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Lauren') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant light pink blooms have a canary yellow center of petaloids and open in early summer. Albert Niva bred it in 1999. Tall stems and good foliage make it a reliable garden plant.

Pairs well with Siberian iris, False Solomon's seal, and Black Hero tulip.
