Notes
'D.H. Laurence' peony (Paeonia 'D.H. Laurence') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. It blooms in early to late spring and attracts butterflies. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Its erect habit reaches 36 to 78 inches tall, so give it room to spread.
Pairs well with Lily, Damask rose, and Lady of the snows.
