Notes
Lavendar-leaf sundrops (Oenothera lavandulifolia) is a perennial for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and dry, sandy or loamy soil. It forms a low mound of velvety gray leaves that grows about 1 foot tall and 10 inches wide. Clear yellow flowers with fringed petals open in flushes every 4 to 5 weeks. You can expect new waves of bloom through the flowering season.
Pairs well with Hairy grama, Soaptree yucca, and Meadow sage.
