Notes

'Lavendelturm' culver’s root (Veronicastrum virginicum 'Lavendelturm') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, meadows, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It grows erect and reaches 59 to 71 inches tall, and butterflies and bees visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Spotted joe-pye weed, Little bluestem, and Pickerel weed.
