Notes
'Lavender' peony (Paeonia 'Lavender') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. The fragrant flowers open pale lilac and age to a softer shade. Saunders bred it, and bees and butterflies visit the blooms.
Pairs well with Spiked speedwell, Rainforest Sunrise hosta, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
