Notes

'Lavender Whisper' peony (Paeonia 'Lavender Whisper') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen use. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its fragrant single blooms have soft lavender highlights, ruffled guard petals, and red stigmas. Butterflies and bees visit the flowers. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Roy G. Klehm bred it.

Pairs well with First Frost hosta, Creeping phlox, Sensation lilac, and Nodding onion.
