Notes

'Le Printemps' peony (Paeonia 'Le Printemps') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Large, fragrant flowers have six or seven creamy yellow petals with violet-carmine veins at the center, and butterflies and bees visit the blooms. Victor Lemoine bred it. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Halcyon hosta, Woodland phlox, Prairie dropseed, and Carlton daffodil.
