Notes
'Lemon Dream' peony (Paeonia 'Lemon Dream') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant yellow flowers have pink streaks and attract butterflies and bees, and now and then a bloom opens half lavender and half yellow. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Roger F. Anderson bred it.
Pairs well with Magnus coneflower, Prairie dropseed, and Stargazer lily.
