Notes

'Libellule' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Libellule') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Auguste Dessert bred it. The double flowers are flesh colored and marked crimson, and they have a pleasant fragrance. The stems are stiff and grow tall.

Pairs well with Immortality iris, Quick Fire panicle hydrangea, Sedge, and Grape hyacinth.
