Notes

'Lightning Bug' tickseed (Coreopsis 'Lightning Bug') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, pollinator gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average soil of most types. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms, which open in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. It stays about 12 inches tall and handles dry spells well.

Pairs well with Hidcote lavender, Shasta daisy, Montbretia, and Feather reed grass.
