Notes
'Lil' Kim Red' rose of sharon (Hibiscus syriacus 'Lil' Kim Red') is a shrub for borders, hedges, and low maintenance plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet soil of most types. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the blooms, and the shrub grows rapidly to about 35 to 47 inches tall and wide.
Pairs well with Pittosporum, Fourwing saltbush, and Big bluestem.
